Former India cricketer Ajit Agarkar has said that Team India should look for alternative to Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the shortest format of the game, after the 'Men in Blue' suffered a crushing 40 runs defeat in the second T20I at the Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium in Rajkot . Agarkar said"If Dhoni started to hit the ball from the word go, then India were in with a chance. But that has been his problem for a while now and not just in this match. Over the last few games, we have seen that he takes a little bit of time but in T20 cricket, there is hardly any time. I heard people say that he should bat at different number, but he came into bat in the 10th over in this match. How many time you get to bat 10 overs in T20 cricket and in my opinion, there was enough time.He said "I think India must now look at other options, at least in T20Is. In one-day cricket, they seem be happy with the role that he is playing. When you were the captain of the side, it was different. But just as a batsman, will India miss him, I don't think so. In T20 cricket, it is lot easier to make that transition as there is lot of experience in that team apart from MS Dhoni now," he added. The series is locked at 1-1 after India won the first match at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium and the decider will now be played in Thiruvananthapuram on November 7. भारतीय टीम के पूर्व तेज गेंदबाज अजीत अगरकर ने महेंद्र सिंह धोनी पर बड़ा बयान देते हुए कहा है कि अब टीम इंडिया को टी20 में धोनी को हटाने की ज़रूरत है | उन्होंने कहा कि अब टीम इंडिया को धोनी के विकल्प को तलाशना शुरू कर देना चाहिए। दूसरे मैच में भारत की हार के बाद ईएसपीएन क्रिकइंफो से बातचीत में अगरकर ने कहा, ‘मेरा मानना है कि अब वक्त आ गया है कि टी20 क्रिकेट में टीम इंडिया धोनी के विकल्प को तलाशे। धोनी टी20 के मुताबिक बल्लेबाजी नहीं कर पा रहे हैं। धोनी पहले पिच पर वक्त बिताते हैं और इसके बाद वो बड़े शॉट खेलते हैं लेकिन टी20 में आपको आते ही बड़े शॉट खेलने होते हैं।’अगरकर ने ये भी कहा कि कई लोग बोल रहे थे कि न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ दूसरे टी20 मैच में धोनी को ऊप बल्लेबाजी करने आना चाहिए लेकिन वो 10वें ओवर में पिच पर आ गए थे। उनके पास 10 ओवर थे और टी20 क्रिकेट में ये काफी ज्यादा होते हैं इसके बावजूद धोनी इन ओवरों में तेजी से रन नहीं बना सके। आपको देखना होगा कि आपका कप्तान आपसे बिलकुल अलग है और आते ही तेजी से खेलता है ऐसे में आप गेंदों को खाली नहीं जाने दे सकते|
