Watch: Odisha officer assaulted; BJP says Kolkata rape survivor was pressured

Additional Commissioner of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), Ratnakar Sahoo, was brutally assaulted by a group of young men during a public grievance redressal meeting on Monday. The attackers stormed into the civic office and unleashed a flurry of punches, kicks, slaps, and verbal abuse on the senior official. ​​​​​​​ On the other hand, a BJP fact-finding team comprising Satyapal Singh, Meenakshi Lekhi, Biplab Deb, and Manan Mishra visited South Calcutta Law College on Monday, where a 24-year-old law student was brutally gang-raped. The team also met Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Verma, who briefed them on the investigation's progress.
