Bear enters Japanese airport causing runway shutdown, flight cancellations

A 1.2 meter bear entered the runway of Yamagata Airport on Thursday (June 26), forcing a temporal shutdown of the runway and flight cancellations, according to Japanese broadcaster Nippon TV.Bear sightings had been reported in the area since the evening of June 25.
