Demolition Phase 2 continues in Chandola to remove illegal encroachment

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), May 21, 2025 (ANI): Ahmedabad Police on May 20 started the second phase of demolition to remove illegal encroachment from an area of more than 2.5 lakh square meters. Visuals showed the demolition being carried out in Chandola area on the second day of demolition drive on May 21. 25 companies of SRP and 3000 police personnel including officials have been deployed. Earlier on May 19, the Rajkot Police demolished 60 illegal constructions belonging to habitual offenders linked to 38 individuals. The action was taken following directions from the Gujarat Home Minister and DGP to identify and take action against such offenders.
