Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara came to the crease on the start of Day 2 against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) with India in a position of strength. On the other hand, the ever so reliable Cheteshwar Pujara scored his second century of the series. He got his 100 from 208 balls, which was the third most balls played by an Indian to score a 100 in Australia. The current Indian coach Ravi Shastri has played the most number of balls in Australia to score the slowest 100 for India. Rohit Sharma's comeback Test produced goods for him as he made 50.
