Tens of thousands of UK junior doctors are striking over demands to the government for an increase in their pay. The British Medical Association (BMA), a trade union and professional body for doctors in the UK, is organising the strike. The government has responded by offering a small pay rise but many junior doctors claim this rise is still inadequate specifically due to the increased cost of living.
