Prime minister Narendra Modi on 8th November 2016 announced the govt’s decision of demonetization. Between that day and today’s date 6 years have passed. And although the BJP claims demonetization was done to fight corruption and black money, it doesn’t tout it as a one of the prominent achievements or cite it in election manifestos. That’s something to ponder about.However, today we are talking about the Central govt’s response to Supreme Court query. As you know the Supreme Court is currently hearing a petition challenging the move of demonetization.
