150 stolen pet cats rescued from meat traders in China

Nearly 150 pet cats stolen for human consumption in China were reportedly rescued on August 25, 2022, before they ended up being sold in markets. Police in the eastern province of Shandong said meat traders stole the felines, most of them pets, by luring the animals into traps using live sparrows as bait.
