JDU-BJP drift likely in Bihar as CM Nitish Kumar calls meeting with all party leaders

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has called a meeting of all MLAs and MPs of his party, the Janata Dal-United (JDU), on Tuesday, amid reports of a widening rift with his dominant alliance partner, the BJP. This comes after top JDU leader RCP Singh, Kumar’s lone man in the Modi cabinet and seen close to the BJP, quit the party and lashed out at the Bihar chief minister. However, Lalan Singh has denied the reports. He has also asserted that “all is well” with ally BJP.
