Kolkata Municipal Polls 2021: TMC Leads By Wide Margin, Mamata Banerjee Congratulates Candidates

On December 21, Trinamool Congress headed by Mamata Banerjee secured a huge lead in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) election. TMC is all set for a third term in the Civic body. Banerjee’s TMC is leading in 133 seats as of December 21 afternoon. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted, “Remember to serve people with utmost diligence and gratitude!” TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee said, “People of Kolkata have once again proven that politics of hate & violence have no place in Bengal!” Derek O’Brien, senior TMC leader tweeted, “Results of Kolkata Municipal Elections.
