Act 342 amendments postponed to next Dewan Rakyat sitting

The tabling of the bill proposing amendments to the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342) has been postponed to the next sitting so that a consensus on the amendments can be reached with the opposition.Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said this following the parliamentary special select committee on health, science and technology meeting held this morning at 8am."After discussion with the prime minister and the opposition leader just now, and also taking into account that attention should be given to the flood disaster right now, I would like to take the decision made by the select committee."
