Comrade Govindan on ‘Jai Bhim’: Stayed Unmarried for 13 Years for Justice

The popular Kollywood hit 'Jai Bhim' is based on the 1995 incident when Justice Chandru helped a woman, Parvathi, from the Kuravar tribe to get justice in the case of custodial murder of her husband. But another important hero of the story is local CPI(M) worker, Comrade Govindan, who stood by Parvathi's side for 13 years, till the policemen were found guilty of custodial murder and the degree of punishment announced.
