Chhath, the great festival of worship of Lord Surya, has started today from 8th November. This great festival starts from the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. The festival of Chhath is celebrated with great pomp in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. On this occasion Madhubani paintings based on ‘Chhath Puja’ are in high demand ahead of the festival in Patna, Bihar.
