Wildlife Smuggling Racket Busted In Jajpur

The sleuths of Jajpur Forest Division arrested two persons from Bhikipur Reserve Forest area under Jajpur Road Police limits. Acting on a tip off by Crime Branch, the forest officials conducted a raid in Bhikipur area. The Forest officials caught the miscreants with five antlers, one tusk and a rare chameleon worth lakhs of rupees.The persons involved in the racket are allegedly college students. Two miscreants were arrested whereas two others managed to escape. They were planning to strike a deal to sell these wildlife products.
