Coronavirus: Lockdown extended in UP, Haryana and Bengal

To curb the increasing surge of Coronavirus, different states have extended the period of lockdown. In UP and Haryana, the lockdown has been extended till May 24 while in Bengal a strict lockdown has been imposed till May 30. Is lockdown the last option to stop the corona spread?
