Never Tasted An Onion, How Will I Know About The Situation: Union Minister Ashwini Choubey Backs Nirmala Sitharaman

After Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in Lok Sabha, said she comes from a family who doesn't have much to do with onions, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Ashwini Choubey, said he has never tasted an onion in his life, and therefore, he wouldn't know about the situation of prices. "I am a vegetarian. I have never tasted an onion. So, how will a person like me know about e situation (market prices) of onions," Choubey told ANI. Onion prices in many parts of the country have breached the Rs 100/kg ceiling due to unseasonal rains in producing states.
