Tourism Minister: Tourists on cruise ships could be subject to departure levy

Tourism Minister Datuk Mohammadin Ketapi said the departure levy could be imposed on tourists on cruise ships, besides those traveling by air.At the Parliament lobby on Tuesday, the Tourism Minister said those travelling within Asia will be charged RM20 while those travelling elsewhere will be charged RM40.The Departure Levy Bill is due for a second reading on Tuesday after it was tabled for its first reading a day earlier.
