India in Lockdown: The plight of migrant workers

On labour day today, when MHA allowed movement of stranded labourers we reminisce the exodus of migrant workers seen as a nationwide lockdown was announced to control the spread of Covid-19. The lockdown halted transport and shut borders, forcing many families to walk on foot towards their hometowns, however far they may be.
