“How can PSU employees support this govt?” asks a disgusted veteran MTNL official

The current government’s attitude towards BSNL and MTNL have left the employees and their families entirely demoralised. “We haven’t been getting our salaries on time since November. We don’t know if we will get our next salaries on time,” says AK Kaushik, a veteran MTNL employee and former official at the Department of Telecom (DoT).We are not going to vote for this government (in Lok Sabha elections),” he declares.The Prime Minister has been on record saying that PSUs are meant to die. How can employees of BSNL and MTNL (and other PSUs) support such a government? asks Kaushik, the General Secretary of the Telecom Executive Association of MTNL(Delhi-Mumbai).
