Japanese car sales in S. Korea for September drop 60 percent due to anti-Japan sentiment

Japanese car sales in South Korea dropped even further last month.The Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association says the number of newly registered Japanese cars was down almost 60 percent on-year.The number has been falling since Koreans started boycotting Japanese products in July.Before the boycott, Japanese car sales in Korea had grown every year since 2014.The total number of newly registered foreign cars was up 17-point-3 percent on-year, mainly due to increased sales of German imports.
