MACC: You cannot use ‘I’m shocked or surprised’ as defence for money laundering crimes

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner Latheefa Koya told reporters on Friday that one cannot use excuses such as he or she was shocked, as a defence for money laundered in his or her bank account.The anti-graft body announced a list of 41 individuals and entities who had received monies misappropriated from the state-owned 1MDB.
