Korean carmakers' auto output and exports increase in May

5월 국내 자동차 생산, 수출 2개월 연속 증가South Korean carmakers' production and exports rose in May for a second consecutive month.Trade Ministry data show they made 366-thousand cars in May, an on-month increase of four percent, thanks to new car production and one more working day.Exports increased six percent on-year, thanks to solid sales of eco-friendly cars and SUVs in North America despite poor sales in Europe. Car sales domestically, though, were down more than 2 percent because of slower sales of imports.
