S. Korean foreign ministry to charge diplomat responsible for leaking Moon-Trump phone conversation with criminal charges

The ministry said Tuesday that its decision was based on the severity of the issue. In addition to the charge of leaking classified information, he and two others from the embassy who failed to keep the information secret will be subject to a disciplinary hearing on Thursday.The official responsible for the leak says it was unintentional, and that reports are making false accusations that he did it to help the opposition lawmaker who received the information.
