N. Korean soldier who defected to S. Korea in 2017 recalls escape

Oh Chong-song... recalled he was afraid when heading to the South... which he says was unplanned even in the morning of the desperate dash.Oh says he is still incredulous of how he made it past the border to the South, especially when watching the footage taken by security cameras. The defector explained, he can only attribute the fact that he is still alive to a miracle.Oh added he hadn't planned to defect to the South... and that he didn't blame the North Korean soldiers who shot at him... saying he understood their situation... that he would have done the same if their roles were reversed.
