Cheong Wa Dae, ruling party and gov't agree to establish national education committee by end of 2019

올해 하반기 국가교육위 설치…국가교육 비전 제시 역할The presidential office, government, and ruling party officials have agreed to set up a national education committee under the presidential office by the end of the year.The committee will be tasked with drawing up ten-year plans for South Korea's education system.It'll consist of 19 members -- five chosen by the President, eight by the National Assembly and six by related ministries. They'll serve three-year-terms regardless of a change in government.The National Assembly will submit a related bill to the floor by April... with the hope of getting it approved within the first half of this year.
