Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to visit India on June 8

The Chinese government has decided to send its Foreign Minister Wang Yi to the neighbouring South Asian country on June 8 to boost ties with the newly-elected Narendra Modi government.Wang would arrive in New Delhi next month as Beijing's special envoy. Meanwhile, a senior Chinese official told the local media in Beijing that it would be Wang's standalone bilateral visit to India. He stressed that Modi has always enjoyed a special relationship with China and a number of Chinese companies invested a huge amount of money in Gujarat -- the home province of the newly-elected Indian premier.
