Telangana Assembly has been dissolved as the recommendation had been made by the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao. The Governor while accepting the recommendation of the Telangana Cabinet dissolving the Assembly, asked the Chief Minister and his Council of Ministers to continue as a caretaker government.
