JNU Row: Kanhaiya Kumar fined Rs. 10000, Umar Khalid removed for a semester by JNU

Umar Khalid, the student charged with sedition along with Kanhaiya Kumar, has been removed for a semester by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for "indiscipline". Both have been fined Rs. 20,000 and 10,000 by a university panel that investigated their role in a controversial on campus event in support of terrorist Afzal Guru.
