Terrorist killed at LoC in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir

One militant was killed on Saturday in a gunfight with the security forces in Machil sector of the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir's Kupwara district where the army foiled an infiltration bid. A senior police officer said: "Alert troops of army challenged a group of heavily armed militants near the Jalandari Post on our side of the LoC. "One militant has died in this encounter so far. Firing exchanges are still on in the area".
