Price of Korean auto exports reached record high in 2018

Despite a dip in the number of auto exports, the average price of Korean automobile exports reached a record high last year... thanks to the popularity of sports utility vehicles.Data released by the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association on Thursday... shows the average price of the country's cars surpassed the 15-thousand U.S. dollar mark in 2018... a one-point-six-percent increase from the previous year.The data comes as a rare piece of good news for Korean auto exporters... which have seen outbound shipments wane for six straight years leading up to 2018.
