Over 100 Million Gather For Kumbh Mela, Devotees To Take Holy Dip Today

The largest religious gathering anywhere on earth gets under way Tuesday, with tens of millions of Hindu pilgrims congregating to bathe in sacred rivers for the Kumbh Mela.Organisers are expecting the enormous spiritual festival in Allahabad to attract more than 100 million devotees over the next 48 days, with seas of pilgrims camped by the riverside. #Kumbhmela #devotees #Allahabad #sankrathi #utterapradesh సంక్రాంతి సందర్భంగా అలహాబాదులోని ప్రయాగరాజ్ కుంభమేళ భక్తుల కోసం సిద్ధమైంది. ఇప్పటికే పవిత్ర స్నానాలు ఆచరించేందుకు కొన్ని లక్షల్లో భక్తులు అక్కడికి చేరుకున్నారు. ఇక రానున్న 48 రోజుల్లో కోటికిపైగా భక్తులు వచ్చి పుణ్యస్నానాలు ఆచరించాలన్న ఉద్దేశంతో నిర్వాహకులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తున్నారు. భక్తులు కూడా అంతే ఆసక్తితో గంగా యమునా నదీ తీరాలకు చేరుకుంటున్నారు. ఉత్తర్‌ప్రదేశ్‌ రాష్ట్రం గంగా యమునా సరస్వతి నదీ తీరంపై వెలిసింది.ఈ మూడు నదులను సంగం అని పిలుస్తారు. కుంభమేళా సమయంలో ఈ నదుల్లో పవిత్ర స్నానాలు ఆచరిస్తే తాము చేసిన పాపాలు పోయి మోక్షం లభిస్తుందని హిందువులు విశ్వసిస్తారు. ఇక్కడకు వచ్చి పవిత్ర స్నానాలు ఆచరించడం వల్ల తమకు మనశ్శాంతి లభిస్తుందని భక్తులు చెప్పారు. ప్రస్తుతం నదితీరాలు కలర్‌ఫుల్‌గా మారాయి.
