The U.S. State Department also reaffirmed its stance that lifting sanctions must be proceeded by the regime's denuclearization. When Seoul-based Yonhap News Agency asked the U.S. State Department for its response to Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha's remarks,... an official replied that President Trump has made clear that sanctions will be lifted only after the North abandons its nuclear and missile programs. While State Department deputy spokesperson Robert Palladino did not specifically mention Kang's remarks,... he also told reporters on Wednesday that Washington will maintain its stance of only removing sanctions after the North's denuclearization.
