Sonia Gandhi targets BJP government, says Rajiv Gandhi laid foundation of modern India

Sonia Gandhi at National Sadbhavana award: Rajeev Gandhi would have been 74, his political life was short but in that brief period he laid the foundation of India’s entry into 21st century, introduced technology, also reservation for women. He saw the huge potential in our youth and ensured that 18 year get the right to vote. Also worked for primary education and health. He was unwavering believer that India derives its strength from diversity. To him growing prosperity and liberalism were two sides of development. Both needs to go hand in hand.
