PM Modi shower praises on JD(S) Prez H.D. Deve Gowda; criticises Congress Prez Rahul Gandhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi showered praises on Janata Dal (S) national president H.D. Deve Gowda and criticised AICC president Rahul Gandhi for not showing basic courtesy to the veteran leader on the first day of his campaign in Karnataka. Reacting sharply to Mr. Modi’s jibe, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah maintained that such remarks clearly showed that Mr. Deve Gowda and Mr. Modi had entered into a covert understanding for the forthcoming Assembly polls. Meanwhile JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda has insisted there is no possibility of his party tying up with the BJP ahead of the high stakes Karnataka Assembly Election.
