Surprise! Whales and dolphins appear beside US kayakers

A fishing trip off the coast of California turned into a memorable close encounter with a pod of grey whales.Video shot on Sunday (April 15) off the coast of Orange County shows a group of people fishing on kayaks being sprayed by four grey whales and some bottlenose dolphins.The whales' performance was met with a chorus of "'wows" from the kayakers.Writes the filmer: "Some local fisherman on kayaks suddenly saw four grey whales appear from the depths right next to them after swimming directly beneath them.
