New faces will be inducted into the Union Government today. Ahead of the oath taking ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with his council of ministers for breakfast. Nirmala Sitaraman gets defense ministry, she is the 2nd woman to hold the defense ministry, earlier former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was the only woman who held this portfolio. Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has been give the charge of the Commerce Ministry, while Piyush Goyal has been give the charge of the Railway Ministry.
