PM Modi led BJP overtakes Congress Party in Rajya Sabha | Oneindia News

The BJP with 58 members has now overtaken the Congress as the largest political party in the Rajya Sabha. The Congress has 57 members in the upper house of Parliament. Since the Narendra Modi led government came to power in 2014, this is for the first time that the BJP has become the single largest political party in the Rajya Sabha. The BJP-led government is still short of a majority in the 245 seat house.
