Anupama Shenoy submitted her resignation after local men of Kudligi protested against her for interrogating some bar owners. Neither the higher authorities nor the Government tried to talk her into withdrawing the resignation, but they straight away handed over her responsibilities to the DYSP of Huvinahadagali. This led to anger among the Shenoy fans.
