Najma Hepatulla has been elected as new chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia. This decision has been taken by university during a special meeting. Najma was Governer of Manipur but she have to resign from her post for being chancellor of the University. कभी मोदी सरकार में अल्पसंख्यक कल्याण मंत्री रहने वाली और फिर मणिपुर के राज्यपाल की बागडोर संभालने वाली नजमा हेपतुल्लाह को अब एक नई ज़िम्मेदारी मिली है. उन्हें जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया के कुलाधिपति के तौर पर चुना गया है. इस कमान को संभालने के लिए उन्हें राज्यपाल के पद से इस्तीफ़ा देना होगा.
