British Airways Passengers Advised to Leave Heathrow Airport After Flights Cancelled

Travelers were stranded on planes and in terminals after a major IT failure caused British Airways to cancel all flights from Heathrow and Gatwick airports before 6pm on May 27.Passengers who had not yet boarded their flights were advised to leave Heathrow Airport, after being told there was no facility for rebooking “at this time.” The multitude of people trying to leave the airport caused huge lines.
