Virat Kohli wins Polly Umrigar, BCCI to felicitate him on March 8 | Oneindia News

India skipper Virat Kohli, who has been on a roll with the willow, was named for the prestigious Polly Umrigar award for the third time at the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) annual awards on March 8 in Bangalore. Kohli, will become the first Indian cricketer to be bestowed with this honour thrice. He was first bestowed with this award in 2011-12 and then in 2014-15. Kohli had a phenomenal 2016 where he scored 1940 international runs second only to England’s Joe Root. He scored double tons against West Indies, New Zealand and then England in three back to back series. He scored another one against Bangladesh, this year and now has a double ton in four consecutive series.
