PeeCee is now ‘Padma Shri’ Priyanka Chopra

New Delhi, Apr 12 (ANI): Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who has now become an international icon, today added another feather to her cap as she was bestowed with the prestigious Padma Shri award for her contribution in the field of art and entertainment. The actress received the honour from President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here in the presence of stalwarts from various fields. The ‘Quantico’ actress, who was recently awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, had earlier tweeted to express her delight to receive the Padma Shri. Padma Shri, which is fourth highest civilian award in India is awarded to the citizens in recognition of their distinguished contribution in various spheres of activity including the arts, education, industry, literature and others.
