Dominican Republic – Thousands of Haitians Face Threat of Deportation

Hundreds of thousands of Haitian migrants and Dominicans of Haitian descent face the risk of deportation from the Dominican Republic. Although the Dominican government has launched a regularization program, Wednesday June 17 was the deadline for registering. Officials say that more than 210,000 people have already done so.
