#Modi365 Make In India: Successful? Still Far From Becoming A Manufacturing Hub

Keeping with the theme of Modi completing 365 days in office, we look at the Make in India initiatives which formed a large part of Modi’s electoral pitch, which led to his thumping victory. In the last one year a lot of policies have been adopted to boost manufacturing and bring in investments, but no big manufacturing project has been announced. India is far from being a manufacturing powerhouse. Experts say that both the Centre and states will have to work hand in hand to reach this destination. Here’s a report.
