Tattoo discrimination? Man with tattoos all over his arms and neck wonders why he can’t get a job

Is rejecting a job applicant because of tattoos discrimination?Bakersfield, California resident Bill Roach has a variety of tattoos that we won’t pass judgment on, but his prospective employer has — and the verdict is a thumbs down. Roach claims he’s being discriminated against because he has tattoos on his neck, telling reporters a medical goods manufacturer told him they wouldn't hire him cuz of his tats, and he doesn’t think it’s fair.Over in the UK, teacher Charlotte Tumilty was told last week by the Catholic school where she worked that she’d need to cover up her multiple tattoos because they didn’t fit in with the school’s culture.She also thinks anti-tattoo policies are discrimination. But here’s the thing, a company want its employees to look good because you are representing their company. Even Starbucks is OK with tats, as long as they aren’t on your face or neck.
