French government praises 'solidarity' in Alps following Germanwings crash

France’s Interior Minister visited the French Alps on Friday (April 3) and praised local residents and recovery workers for their solidarity following the Germanwings crash. During his time in Seyne les Alpes, Bernard Cazeneuve also laid a wreath in memory of the 150 victims. “No one is ever prepared for such an event,” he said. “And yet, an immediate show of solidarity could be seen, which included the entire region. The beautiful solidarity of people from the mountains and also of the state services.
