US: Washington announces easing of Cuba restrictions

On Thursday morning, the US Commerce and Treasury departments announced an easing of restrictions on travel by US citizens to Cuba. The measures, which take effect as of Friday, increase the cap on family remittances sent to Cuba and allow the use of US credit and debit cards by travelers to the island.
