Bharat Ratna conferred on Vajpayee, Madan Mohan Malviya

TV9 Breaking: Bharat Ratna for Vajpayee, Madan Mohan Malviya.., The government has decided to confer the Bharat Ratna on Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Madan Mohan malaviya. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Union Cabinet. PM Modi sent a recommendation for the Bharat Ratna Awards which was approved by President Pranab Mukherjee. Vajpayee is the first BJP leader from the country's political right to be conferred the honour. The BJP had been demanding the Bharat Ratna for Vajpayee for the last five years. Till date, 43 illustrious men and women have been honoured with the prestigious award. ------------------------------------------------------------ (MADAN MOHAN MALAVIYA) Madan Mohan Malaviya was a freedom fighter and educationist. He was popularly known as 'Mahamana'. Bharat Ratna for Malaviya was one of the promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his election campaigns.
