Thiruparappu falls is situated 35 KMs from Nagercoil and about 15 KMs from Pechiparai Dam. Thiruparappu water falls is also called as "Kumari Kuttalam".Thirparappu Waterfalls lies close to the village Kulasekaram which was ruled by kings. Thirparappu waterfall starts from the "Kodayar River" and this riverbed is about 300 meters length. The water pours down from the height of nearly 50 feet and water flows this fall about seven months in a year.Thiruparappu Dam is built on a rocky bed spanning far across the distance covering one fourth of a kilometer in the direction against the water current, and water flows further to paddy fields. There is temple dedicated to Lord Mahadeva near to this fall and there is strong wall surrounded to this temple.
