The most significant "piece" in this collection - that has been lying in the stores of the building since 1933 - is a set of crockery displayed with the dining table and chairs designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.This kitchen museum is one of its kind in the world, exhibits historic kitchen artifacts from the collection of the President's household. The objects chosen span across the pre-independence period during British days. The Collection on display guides viewers from the Viceregal kitchen to the Banquet table. There are fascinating implements like copper ladles, primitive slicers and utensils. Given pride of place under a tiered chandelier is the Star of India crockery, with crystal stemware and shining silver cutlery.
